Facing our Future – How to practically and profitably reduce Nitrogen use on farm

BCI supports our farmers to apply the following philosophy when it comes to N fert use: Right amount, right time, every time! Not only is this efficient from a financial perspective, importantly it is is a key Good Management Practice to reduce our environmental impact. The new fert cap of 190kg N/ha sets specific targets we all need to achieve.

Irrigo, with support from Dairy NZ and Macfarlane Rural Business, hosted a tradeshow for Mid Canterbury Irrigation Scheme shareholders, sharing practical, profitable solutions for reducing N fert use, and offering the chance to catch up with local suppliers of products and services that can help you get there.
